Collection: Azilal Moroccan Handwoven Rugs

Woven by hand in the style of the Azilal tribes, these rugs are more than just beautiful decor — they’re pieces of living history. Originating from the town of Azilal in Central Morocco, a vibrant meeting point for both Arabs and Imazighen (Berbers), each rug carries the spirit of cultural exchange and generations of craftsmanship.

Azilal rugs are known for their youthful energy and expressive freedom. Their bold, playful patterns and bright colors speak of creativity and individuality, while their soft white backgrounds create a striking contrast. Look closely, and you'll often find diamond shapes — ancient symbols believed to protect against the evil eye — along with other meaningful Berber motifs, like donkeys, which were essential to daily life in the rugged Atlas Mountains.

Several times a year, I travel to the breathtaking Atlas Mountains to discover new treasures and bring them back to share with you — and each Azilal rug I bring home tells a story. These rugs aren't just woven — they're told. Full of color, symbolism, and soul, each one brings a vibrant piece of Morocco’s rich heritage into your home.
